Inspecting Your Input Data

Given a list of science and calibration files, the XDGNIRS pipeline can identify the data types and perform a full reduction. Some checks are performed along the way, described in the relevant sections of this document. However, it is advisable to at least do a quick visual inspection of the data before entrusting the reduction to the pipeline. The GNIRS XD DR page gives more information and some examples. The Quality Assessment (QA) state of each file, also described on the above web page and here, should be noted as well. Files set to “USABLE” should not be included in the reduction unless the user knows what they’re doing. Files set to “FAIL” almost certainly should not be used.
